When telehealth became the sudden new norm in March 2020, many therapists and clients were pushed out of the familiar comfort of in-person sessions and into Zoom-style therapy rooms. Alongside learning new technology, we faced real concerns: Will this feel as meaningful? Will engagement fade? How do we create the same depth without our usual tools? As I navigated this shift, I found myself longing to restore a sense of presence, humor, and “that makes so much sense!” energy that often emerges in experiential work. My core values—growth, playfulness, compassion, and authentic engagement—nudged me to find creative ways to bring richer experiences back into therapy.
