Welcome to RIACT

Welcome! Whether you’re here as a clinician, a student, or simply curious, this page will help you find the most relevant content on RIACT and get started quickly.

How to Navigate This Site

The primary way to explore RIACT.org is through the main navigation tabs at the top of the site. These pages outline the core resources, services, and opportunities available within the RIACT community.

Use the Search Feature

  • Look for the search icon or search link (often in the header or navigation) This lets you search across all published posts, authors, and tags to quickly locate what you need.
  • The search works across titles, tag-names, and post content — so if you remember a few keywords (e.g. “Functional Contextualism,” “Residency,” “Business model”), type them in to locate relevant articles or resources.
  • You can also see all posts from a particular author by clicking on their name in any article that you read.

Explore by Categories (Tags)

The site is organized by “Categories” — actually implemented via tags — so you can easily browse by topic.

  • On the top navigation menu, under "Library", you’ll find “Categories”.
  • Within that, you’ll see main themes like Core Concepts, Clinical, Business, Research, Training, etc.
  • Click on any category/tag to see all posts/articles related to that topic.
  • This is especially useful if you’re exploring by interest (e.g. wanting all Clinical resources) rather than by date or author.

Finding Training Programs & Learning Pathways

If you’re here to learn or deepen your skills (for example through training, residency, or peer-learning):

  • Navigate to the “Training” category from the menu. Under that you’ll see sub-sections like Residency Program and Flex Lab (Peer Group).
  • As new pathways are produced (such as "ACT Basics" or "Using Metaphors") are developed, you will find them here as well. Think of them as purposefully designed tracks to help deepen your knowledge in that specific area.
  • If you want an overview of what RIACT offers: check out the “About → Our Model” section to see how training, practice, and community come together.
  • For deeper conceptual knowledge, explore the Core Concepts, Functional, Relational, or Clinical categories.
  • For business-side or practice-building resources, check the Business category.

Quick “Getting Started” Checklist

Use this as a quick reference when you first land on RIACT:

  • Browse by Categories to explore all posts on a given theme.
  • Head to Training → Residency or Training → Flex Lab if you’re interested in structured learning or peer-group programs.
  • Explore Core Concepts for foundational knowledge, Clinical for practical resources, and Business for practice & career guidance.
  • Bookmark or subscribe to the site (via “Subscribe”) if you want updates on new content.
